what to say to people prefering manga's art over ln for the anime:
that is what manga readers would say. I suggest you reading the light novel and compare the art from both media. The reason why light novel is used over the manga is because of being it the source material aside from the web novel while the manga's art and also it gives more impact when being animated. manga's kind of off and good for making readers laugh, just like a comedy. also the monsters do not look that great and are way toned down. as for the humanoid characters, they had it worse, not to mention Wrath, the best ogre to exist to look like that. in case you do not know, manga cuts off half of the story from the novels. it only focuses on kumoko's perspective, manga readers will be confused when they start watching the anime when it comes out. .
