okay, I still think the skin change is HUGELY problematic, since it's showing that a "blessing" made her skin whiter.

@roxanneayy there's actually a lot of clues if you're aware of it! The way he insists and knows chloe is not a man, his firmness in declaring the duke is straight and dodging the questions around it. The way that he acts to women who seem to be interested in him, etc :) it was really well done...
I was prepared to be SO mad at Patricks ince he's supposed to be her friend... But he really was doing that for her benefit. That made me so happy :) Just because they don't love each other romantically, it doesn't mean that their love/friendship is unimportant <3
