Mana being toxic to normal humans would explain why Endymion would become a tyrant and want to control magic. I really feel sad knowing that this team will all break up and go their separate ways.

I think the idea is that Zoroa is the reason the three friends will split up. Aleister will want to repeat what Zoroa did and convoke more spirits by normal summoning himself, while Endymion will get spooked by this and try to put a stop to all this stuff and seal all magic under his government.

I never expected Zoroa to have this sort of backstory, I just thought he would be the bad guy that would cause the three friends to split.

I missed this manga, glad to see it get updated. Sad to hear we only have 10 chapters left. I am really invested into this and sadly there are no translations for the LNs.
