No. That the entire jist of the arc. He’s basically the opposite of the MC in that regard. He’s derailing the “plot”, not keeping his head down, challenging the nobles, etc. It comes to ahead at the end of the arc. This arc also shows why the MC is so reluctant to change the plot as well.
