Standard rom-com. Not stand out, but nothing unreadable either.
Main nitpick is that the art, while pretty enough to look at, is quite static in its poses a lot of the time, like I'm looking straight at a posed doll. The girls are cute though.
6.5/10. Pretty unremarkable.
I assume the MC being a middle schooler this time around was due to Japanese sensibilities and how they really like their stories of youth.
Considering it's likely that it'll take a romantic turn down the line, I wouldn't be surprised if it was also done to escape any lolicon allegations...
