Come and See has a version of Sacred War that isn't too nationalistic sounding and the novel/manga and film have similar messages and tones.

Final episode of Sakusei Byoutou Animation adaptation came out... Didn't have high expectations but holy fuck was that ending so fucking ASS they actually fumbled by episode 8 since they didn't lay out the groundwork for the investigation and Yamada just left and presumably the drug trafficking...
