There's another title that's very similar to this one, where the girl is the one responsible for the time loop, and she tries to make sure MC "lives a good life". Overall, I feel like there's no way this anything other than self-fulfilment slop

Well, strictly speaking in terms of storytelling, it's not like this series is actually "good". I feel like I come around to this argument so often these days, as I get older I tend to expect a level of storytelling that just is not present enough on mangas. Sure there are one or two titles...
