Maybe with the elf manga doing so well he's kind of gotten over his whole gal fetish or he doesn't know how to end it in a positive way without some kind of bullshit time lapse or Junichi ending up with someone else.

World of Moral Reversal is on a monthly schedule but the author doesn't keep the schedule. Currently Ch. 22 is out (https://rawdevart.com/comic/world-moral-reversal/ is the only place I could find it) and if the schedule is kept chapter 23 should be out already or sometime next week.
