In addition to the workplace drama angle, I think what makes this manga different from a more average ecchi / ero manga is the level of communication between the MC and FMC. They're both still being silly in their own ways, but it's also a surprisingly mature depiction of sex.
I like this because it's a more impactful display of an act of real courage by a young MC. Like it's not him storming a warehouse to rescue the FMC from a gang of delinquents. It's just him speaking up to his friends on behalf of someone he cares about. But it feels more meaningful.
I know it would be a pretty big evolution of the premise, but I do wonder if we'll ever get to the point where Miko can do stuff on her own like the other three. Maybe more in line with Seto's thing with having spirits at her command.
