Yeah, I forgot about that until reminded a bit ago. It was such a write-off moment as she was actually cowed by Aihara, and since then everyone has been. Everyone else seems to just ignore Ruruna's will and wants, only acting once Aihara decides things.

At this point, based on the reactions, I'm pretty positive she's safe because she's biting... but due to her lack of experience she doesn't actually know how to turn people and in fact isn't making kin, just letting others make excuses. Which is still okay, but I'd like to see plot progression.

Hrm, I read that completely differently. I read it as them putting on a pretense, and hearing stories from other nobles like their parents. To get him to like her, she put on a 'character' that would impress him. Since it's also MTL, I think this might be able to be debated.

I need to start re-reading the novel for this, this is such a cute little series. I feel this chapter felt slightly rushed, though: No building of the knife yet, just 'We have it now.', no testing it, no showing off the chunk of mithril or the loot, just Yuna appearing and everyone accepting it...

It likely is, but I hope not. Logically speaking if you have a student whose first mission is to destroy or damage the actual mana veins (which we've seen are very sensitive and able to be ruined permanently), and she just went and attacked someone? I think the kingdom would lock her down...
