Dime a dozen, seen it once seen it all. I just don't get the whole ethnic thing. If you're not gonna do anything new or interesting with it, why bother? It's the same "Look at this blonde anime girl who's drawn the same as everybody else and acts the same too". Kudos for the childhood friend...
It's the same rehashed inoffensive writing found anywhere else really, but the kicker for me is that somebody who's supposed to be Western is written Japanese, acts Japanese and looks Japanese (as far as manga can get someone to look at least). They honestly could've just made her a transfer...
2/10 so far tbh.
It's super, super generic. I can't even push myself to get past Chapter 11 it's that bad. The MC and FMC are dense as shit, we already have the "Thank god they can't hear me trope", they introduce the most shoehorned in "competing heroine" which is just mediocre on a multitude...
They really dragged out the whole actually dating part when it could've been settled so much easier. Thankfully it wasn't some 50 chapter "They like each other but there's no such confession" schlock but it was still a bit infuriating in the moment.
TLDR: Starts off as a strong pseudo-relationship, ends up a mid "Pick me" harem story with loser childhood friend. Don't be shocked if we get another mediocre losing heroine.
It started off super strong but I feel that with the introduction and progression of the childhood friend's romance...
It's a great series but this is a so~so adaptation going from the source. It scrambles the first 20 or so chapters so far and tampers with the pacing. Perhaps it's because I read the WN first so it might not be bad for manga only, but I think the WN is a better read. I can't imagine how well...
Every character's mental state has the strength of straw dude wtf. It's entertaining because it's so bad it's good, would recommend for those who like that. Bonus points: What'd usually be 150 chapters of the average romance manga of: Confessing, breaking up, getting with loser MC, getting back...
I disagree, she looked at him directly when the engagement came up, and the latest chapter had the mood set. Romance is slow as shit though so it's boring.
