Keep in mind, this is a drawing as well. I do believe that in reality most people would think she is totally ugly. This manga is also drawn really well, the «appeal» of good art should never be underestimated.

This is one of the best portrayals of growth I’ve ever seen in a manga. Senya went from a creepy extremely dangerous enemy to a character I genuinely want to see happy.

As far as I remember, that scene plays out way too similarly to Jeoffrey’s scene in Game of Thrones

Reading this as a completed arc was great. However, I can understand those who was reading this weekly, this arc was long. I prefer these slower buildups myself though.

The level of references in this manga is over 9000, there are so many and I barely know half of them.
