The story likes to skip over some events other similar mangas would usually explore(Fighting bandits in the first town, acquiring goods and testing skills) and the "50-something old man" sure does some irresponsible things without thinking it through as though he has had no life experience at...
Sure it feels rushed and slapdash, but I am really glad it actually had an ending and tried to wrap it up. Too many mangas just end abruptly or try to keep going forever.
Seems like the rest of the Anime didn't lean into the energy of most of this chapter. MC is depressed/nervous after leaving, 3 heroines have alot more going on with their interactions.
MC is a bit too edgy tbh.
But really though in the first chapter Sasha was all like "Even if he hates me for kicking him out it's the right call" and she doesn't feel sorry about it until after he nearly dies. THEN she waits two years until she tries to apologize when he's up to the same high...
