on page 12 Gohan calls getting hit by the pitch a "ball", when it's actually a "bean." Is that a mistake with the translation or did Toriyama mix up his words in the original?
Pretty big continuity error here. If the spy drones captured Freeza and Cold landing on Earth, then Gero should have known what a super saiyan was since Trunks turned into one.
Goku joking that he must be psychic just makes it even weirder that he straight up had the power to read minds when he landed on Namek for some reason.
If Kuririn's imagination was correct and Freeza's final form was just his third form again but spiker, I don't think he would have had the same lasting impact on the world of anime villains. Or at the very least, marketing would focus more on his first form.
what a bizarre moment, Goku just goes "hold on I think I can read your mind... yep, I can do that somehow"
It's not unprecedented in this manga, after all, Roshi was able to read Nam's mind way back in the first tournament arc. But it's weird that Goku didn't even need to learn, he just knew he...
Toriyama included that line about Yajirobe sounding like Krillin because he wanted them both to be voiced by Mayumi Tanaka so she wouldn't miss out on work while Krillin was dead.
translation error on page 9. Goku shouldn't be saying "My grandpa" climbed the tower. He should just be saying "grandpa" climbed it, in reference to Roshi.
