Watched the anime version of this late last night and loved it. Much of the show is enjoyable at a surface level,

If you're looking for something similar in terms of writing, In Another World, I'm Called: the Black Healer is probably it. Seems like much of the plot is convenient to the MC.

If you can get past the injected pacing and romance, it's not mediocre.

It's basically what if Batman were smurfing as Tom Holland in a school environment..

This manga enjoys the idea of torture, but isn't willing to go past the imagery of the "Kill Kill Kill!" mentality from the first couple of chapters. It's saddening really.

Man.. the premise of the story itself can really immerse you into the story, but it's blemished by the needless fan service.
