I don't think you can call it unfounded after the time skip and nothing being done to retcon it I mean this feels like knowing the MC doesn't end up with anyone in the end and expecting ppl to still stick to the romance subplot Any victory would be almost meaningless as the time skip twists...

Yeah it's obvious the mangaka wanted to go back to the easygoing stories. It's just that the previous time skip causes a few problems. Any story after this becomes some kind of a flashback and we already know Daisuke doesn't end up with anyone 10 years later.

I mean like ch 359 really sets it up for a nice VN style ending like bokuben. And even if the mangaka wants to take back the confession/ prolong the story, making Daisuke unable to make up his mind and the girls agreeing to wait would still work ( still very frustrating) and not like idk burn...

I mean like a Tanaka chapter is always nice But the last chapter really cheapens any progress the girls make in future chapters. seeing how Sensei and chiaki interacted with Daisuke it's safe to assume he is currently single, this implies that the other girls also didn't work out for Daisuke...

God damnnnnn This is like....the worst way to prolong the story This chapter basically condemns the whole mystery club romantic subplot to death I mean like any banter and buildup between the mystery club members in the future is dead. It has zero relevance and robs any hopes of a happy ending...
