Thank you for picking this series up, Villainess x Heroine series give me so much dopamine. I just need Hesha to realize her feelings and get a little needy and clingy and I'll be so happy.
This is one of my favorite one shots. I don't even know how to organize my thoughts.
People here have already shared some great opinions and reflections so I'll try and add some new thoughts.
The othering and demonization of non human species in stories isn't new, Mary has done nothing wrong...
Amazing story. I'm not sure I can find the words to explain how satisfying this was to read. This with the other translated story so far, Volume 1 chapter 2, the name of the anthology is so good. This is a merry bad end. I'm going to rant more in that chapter post.
I get these are all very serious problems, and I get how much mental illness can impact someone's life and how it can wear away at the people you love and hold most dear (My father had Alzheimer'). I know none of this is really an exaggeration even but I'm really tired of it all. I just want...
An amazing series, I loved all of this.
Looking at the ending though, marrying Angel because he makes you feel like you are "Emi's Remelia", wanting to shower her in goodness, make her the happiest girl in the world. This too, is yuri.
Real talk I think it's just a really common fetish you can portray in a safe for work setting. The idea of enjoying the smell of your lover is pretty normal enough to use.
Volume 2 was so much better than volume 1, like it's not even close, more than half of volume 1 the female leads don't even end up in a relationship or a situation that could lead them to one. I hope a volume 3 comes out and is closer to this one.
"We don't know the promises between them"
But Hario's words made me physically ill. Considering Hario usually being so supportive I have 3 ideas
1) He doesn't want to lose connections to Ema's family for some reason, maybe business?
2) He doesn't consider Ema's mother to be completely wrong...
