I got the feeling the manga is heading towards the conclusion in the next 10 or so chapters. This will be the final Tsubomi "encounter", then wrap things up with Kanako next, and then finally the choice between Moka and Chisaki (likely the latter)

Yeah, those new panels further hammer in that Chisaki really didn't care for it and did it more out of obligation for Kanako.
