I wonder if Layamon becomes some sort of squire for Bard. Even though he's been exposed to the evil behaviours of his uncle and his compatriots, his childlike innocence and morality remains pure and hopefully Bard sees that in him. I can't imagine that happening soon but maybe after a time-skip.

I love his artwork and storytelling and this manga has proved that he is capable of refining it even more. I can imagine every fable onwards having its own independent theme and relic that bard will have to destroy in order to liberate the world from overbearing power...
