I get that we are leaning heavy comedy, but this instantly makes me hate the hero. Tricks the MC and slaps a death based slave device on him... Got me interested enough in the MC and new Demon King to read more, but oof.

I love the timer ticking away at the end of chapters. The looming dread as we grow more attached to our cast, and enjoy the wholesome cooking... Knowing it is coming won't stop the finale hurting, heh...

We know this isn't her end, sure... But you gotta give them props for this chapter. For now; we've "seen" her be incinerated, the culprits slaughtered, and a rightfully furious goddess. That's a hell of a chapter!

I really hope it is more bog-standard mind control and not (another) case of rape brainwashing. Getting really tired of that being part of the bad guys' gimmick in these stories...
