I think that's exactly what they were foreshadowing with her conflicted feelings about being able to help people while big. Some crisis will happen, and she'll gain the ability to switch sizes at will in order to stop it. Or something like that.

That said, I very much hope this story goes somewhere beyond the academy. A completely OP main hero can still be fun when done right, and this MC has the basic building blocks of not wanting to abuse how OP he is but...
