at least its insistence on meritocracy being good makes the reader think about why (especially in a world with stupid fuck you SSS-rank skills) that viewpoint might be flawed
things that will probably happen:
mc meets a rare enemy (or enemies) with absurd defense and low HP (golem maybe, if he's after the philosopher's stone)
mc finds a beastman (female) in trouble, saves them, they become a party member
either mc directly meets his old team and they end up...
its incredibly amusing that the manga plays the whole "we are salarymen through and through" thing completely straight. there's a single character that breaks from the mindset, and he does it for the sake of corporate innovation and crisis response.
