As someone who speak Japanese, it really annoys me that the agency people use -kun for Hoshino. Profesionally, people refer to clients and customers with Lastname-sama, with -san being used if the client is paricularly close. I mean, I know this is Chinese, but it still feels really distracting.

But that's the point. I'm not saying that he shouldn't return, I'm saying that he is being rational. His being rational IS the conflict. if he follows that rational thought and not return it would not be as interesting, but on the other hand if he didn't even agonize and just jump...
There's only two reason to call horns as "handle", either to literally ride someone's back or to fuck her face.
....I guess he meant the first, although it'd be way more amusing and vulgar if it's the second.
Some people are commenting that he should go back. Why is that? He is not obligated to live two lives at all. To improve his living? He seemed content with the salary of C rank already. Effortless improvement? He had already almost literally died several times in there, and no guarantee it...
@Torappu
Not really. There's no established speed for ghosts; they doesn't have mass, their bodies logically doesn't get affected by air resistance, they float and move with no reason. Which means the standard of their speed is just whatever the author decides.
@humbleoverlord it's not a matter of testing or whatnot. He's making him go fight alone without telling MC beforehand. Wanting to test him is fine and all, but no matter how confident he is that MC will survive, doing so without asking first means he's an asshole.
By the way, if we consider meta-knowledge as enlightenment, then I guess Su Luxia would be the classic Immortal revered by all cultivators in Wuxia novels. After all, She lived for thousands of years, practically omnipotent with the system, came from a "higher realm" and hops to other worlds...
It's pretty fitting that the character who gained meta-sentience is from a cultivation world. After all, they cultivate to gain enlightenment about the world they live in. Too bad that his enlightenment was the fact that his world is a shitty third-rate novel.
@Richman
Go check the synopsis, the name of the System is there. I'm sure you'll go back on calling it "System" after being reminded of how long the actual name is, though.
@Kalamel
Actually Visha mentioned that she's looking for survivors, which means she's not actually in the explosion when it happened. Her mention of burned to a crisp by a classmate's spell is probably about the explosions outside instead which was relatively easier to avoid.
