It's rare to see character with this severe princess syndrone nowadays. Most author now turn them into tsundere or villain instead of keep them this kind of annoying. It is somehow refreshing.

Can't find more after ch39. There is setting, side stories, scraped ideas and lots lying around but no info about upcoming chapter. I think it is on hiatus.
Well I think it is because Retired Heroes was first a doujinshi (author was called 熾羽 then) that was mainly composed with short stories. So author would want to bring these stories into commercial one as well. This chapter was in doujinshi as well.
