I love how natural the pacing feels.
Most slow burn rom-coms suffer from such artificially glacial pacing, that it feels like a milestone when the author throws us a crumb of progress.
This feels like the real kind of slow and awkward stage at the beginning of a relationship.
It's nice this piece of shit had some growth, but it's kinda undermined by his motivation being him "developing feelings" instead of "a fucking person is drowning and needs help"
