Dainana Maouji Jilbagias no Maou Keikokuki - Ch. 17.2

I think the author made a mistake when Antendixis asked Jilbagias (Alexander) if he wanted to return Lilianas' ego after she had already returned his. The taboo magic only works when it's applied to both the target and the host, so she should've gotten her ego back at the same time Alexander...

Dainana Maouji Jilbagias no Maou Keikokuki - Ch. 18.2

It's not like he became an emotionless machine. He resolved himself (in that chapter) that he will have to do some terrible things for his goal, but that doesn't mean he's not going to get pissed off when terrible things happen, especially when he didn't expect or prepare himself for it.

Dainana Maouji Jilbagias no Maou Keikokuki - Ch. 18.2

Near the end of the 1st volume. It's about to enter the 2nd volume. Be warned, there's a lot of "fluff" in the LN, at least in the early parts. I think the author probably got much better at writing as he went on, but I read some of the early parts and man, is it cringe at times.

Dainana Maouji Jilbagias no Maou Keikokuki - Ch. 17.2

Honestly, the best part of this manga is the reactions on Jilbagias' face. The illustrator does a great job conveying the anguish this poor dude is feeling all the time.

Dainana Maouji Jilbagias no Maou Keikokuki - Ch. 18.1 - You're Mistaking, Mother

Might be the case that he's worried about her hating him if he does that. He needs to be able to use her magic, which requires her to trust him; otherwise, there won't be an excuse for him to keep her, and she'll be given back to the dark elves.

Dainana Maouji Jilbagias no Maou Keikokuki

Well, if you can read japanese, there are 4 semi-chapters out. 17.2 is on the translator's website. Don't know why that one hasn't been uploaded here. We are waiting for them to translate the others.

Dainana Maouji Jilbagias no Maou Keikokuki

I'm glad someone else commented on that. It was a small moment, but it was like a breath of fresh air. It's moments like that that make me believe the author is actually competent at writing, and the illustrator is in sync with the author's vision. Combining all that with how the current arc is...

Dainana Maouji Jilbagias no Maou Keikokuki

This manga, insofar, has been a pleasant surprise. By all means, the potential is there for this to be utter trash, but equally so, there is potential for this to be a high-quality story. The author establishes in the first chapter that this is not a manga for the light-hearted, which it is not...
