I can truly not express in words how fun this series is and how much of a shame it is that it seems to be flying under the radar so heavily.

Pete's story isn't unique but it's also just so interesting in the context of the rest of the series.
Pete is gifted but not to an extreme degree like monkey see. he doesn't have a tragic or traumatic backstory. he doesn't have an extreme desire to hurt people or to be the strongest. he's a guy...
It goes to show just how hype this series is.
Because that's one of the ways you can tell how good a series is when stuff like "oh I'm really hyped to find out what this character's fighting style sounds like" is stuff that the Fandom's excited for.
