We don't know what rumors she's referring to. We see at the beginning of the chapter that some rumors about her actions got fabricated out of nothing when she was being abused, so it seems off that we're being reminded of how untrue the rumors could be right before Aurora says "they were mostly...
Yeah, but after stepping in to stop two execution orders you'd probably consider that your fiance's justifications for wanting your sister dead maybe aren't on the level, and you shouldn't glibly parrot them back to the person trying to help you save her.
Aurora "saving" her is gonna be her own twisted version of mercy where she puts down Karina down herself so she can die tragically with some grace, and Reshutoka will kill her, technically fulfilling the "and then the wolf kills the princess" part of the story. Watch this space.
I hope this series goes on long enough that we see Nanase & Yuki "dating" except Yuki still just says they're best friends. She occasionally doles out affection and sex to keep Nanase hooked, but Nanase eventually cheats with Mashiro's ex's mom or whatever layer of insanity things are on by then.
Niji is so far gone in her fake version of Remu that there's almost a chance that she can just have a completely clean start with her if she's willing to take it. But tbh even outside of her delusions she just kind of seems like a jerk, Remu is too nice.
