Returning back to "everyone came together for the sake of this one goal" feelings...hits so hard. So immensely curious to find out what happened from this point forward, but there is absolutely a looming sense of Dread as well.
Okay but I am so utterly in love with the knowledge that the translation spell, something used on Iruma right at the start of the series so casually, was built and created using the resources of so many groups of demons coming together for this one result that they may not know the details for-...
How does this series always keep finding ways to blow my mind??? Demon Iruma having some traits from the other times his magic let him be demonic (wings especially) is soooo good. I hope some of it stays (like the little fangie in that last shot) it'd be fun growth ;w;
The reality check that is Azz lol I really love that they're taking the angle of "hey, it's one thing to always accept a loved one, it's another to care about them enough to call them out when they've screwed up" that they're going with here. And all of Clara's self-insert desires to be there...
There's a lot of little bits I really enjoyed in this one (Bug catching Clara, Ameri being a queen as always, Opera helping Irumi) but I think all I can bring myself to say is-
GIRLIE TIME! GIRLIE TIME! :'D
(i'm loving these little side character focus chapters)
5.5 ranking aside for a second- WHAT IF I CRY??? OVER HOW SWEET OPERA IS??? Aw man I adored getting a little bit of insight on exactly how Opera themself sees Iruma, and how that has changed over the series in general. We all already knew for a long time that they're family, but there's still...
Ughhhh, I love this class of students so much- they're all so friendly and supportive of each other ;w; Iruma, Azz and Clara all collectively forgetting the point of the exam was so fitting honestly, and class wide sleepover is sooo cute.
I am cautiously optimistic about that ending...
lol funny carrot reaction aside, I adore how Nova is a prime example of how representation matters. He doesn't just want to be able to stand on his own two feet and choose his own path, he wants to be an example for future kids like him. And how Iruma never even considered how that sort of thing...
I can't believe the same day I talked with a friend about how well done M!IK treats the concept of education is the day we get a wonderful chapter of a character reflecting on her privilege on having such good education to begin with and wanting to pay that forward.
Gosh darnit, I love this...
