I dont really get it. The whole point of this arena was that she likes to see hand to hand fighting and hates gimmicks. But this isnt really hand to hand fighting its literally just everyone getting stat checked by superior improvements. Boring.

What you're saying people want, is literally what this manag is lol. There's nothing particularly human about this manga that makes it any different from the typical Japanese romance manga for kids like you lol.
Like with all of these slop "we dated and then she left me or disappeared and now she's back" the explanation for why she did what she did will never be satisfying. So why bother.
I think theyre complaining that the chapters are repetitive and its bad story telling. Yeah we get it. It won't happen instantly. We don't need to see 700 pages of her doing this until he does start to feel better.
I wish the romance was better. Its about as generic as they come. Good guys are good and only do good. Bad guys are bad and only do bad and suffer for it. Very little of interest actually happens.
