In my opinion this confession and rejection added nothing to the story. IF at least, was before the main couple got "together" and she didn't know then it would be alright. Kinda tired of this trope of having to confess no matter what even if it's hopeless.
Well society tells us that it's taboo, but at the end of the day it's just a man and a woman that have feelings for each other. And if they go somewhere where no one knows them and people see them together i think no one would think they are anything but a normal couple.
Finally we arrived at the good stuff :meguusmug:
Too bad we had to go through so much drama to get here and watch another mangaka fall into the NTR pit.
For those that are confused by the last two pages, the protagonist has been calling her by her first name since the beginning, so it made no sense to change how he called her, but actually he has been calling her Minazuki and not Shizuka. Seems to have been an error that the translator made...
True the "first girl wins" is what generaly happens with few exceptions but i really have no problem with that because in these types of manga the MC and the FMC are the hook of the story, not the others that come after.
So yeah it would be refreshing to have a female childhood friend that...
But on the other hand even if they don't try their luck and the guy/girl they like start dating another, and they can't get over their feelings, it might lead to the same end because they might distance themselves to not get hurt.
I hope she's just a wingwoman and not a childhood friend who's in love with the protagonist and will only confess when the game is over. Seriously can't we have a female childhood friend who's not in love with the protagonist.
And thanks for the chapter.
