to me with the 1 to 5 ratio poly is just required, and hate stories that act like its our world of 1:1, no way it would be like that, unless its a recent change like a massive world war that killed off most men or some other event. Should just make the story about the interaction of the women...

feel author should have gone with a more blended colour instead the original colour or white, more a lite brown instead the dark brown/white colours used. It would make more sense since black+white = grey (light brown);0
actually freezing the sea would cause the world to well freeze, if the polar ice ever melts it enough it will shut down many heat pumping currents by making the sea water less salty,
