Agreed, Kogahara feels more like a plot device to move Sunao/Lemon's relationship forwards, rather than an actual competitor at this point. Hell, if Sunao didn't actively state he likes Kogahara, there wouldn't be a ship at all, they haven't had much of anything else building towards a...

I mean, the biggest hurdle is Lemon and Kogahara loving each other romantically instead of platonically. And if Sunao flirts with Kogahara in Lemon's body a few times, that probably will happen 100% by accident (Kogahara kisses Lemon, thinking it's Sunao, for example).
