Ok now it feels like this flashback arc was the actual first chapter that they didn't go with because it didn't have a big moment

It's funny that as utterly ridiculous this all is, the fact that we're still dealing with the same cast and conflict from the first chapters make it more consistent than some manga

We're pretty much winding down, not building to a climax. Don't be surprised if the final chapter is the bungee jump in order to symbolize Kyo taking an uncertain but necessary leap into the future
