Ah this chapter was a nice breather in the pacing- they're right, a break really is nice. I like these moments where the narrative slows down on one of these little meaningful conversations or days. It feels like when a particular moment winds up like a treasured memory.
Oh man from zero to bawling, haha.... I love the consideration of helping her set up to work whileshe's recoverng. And wah, her face watching him.... she's so cute!! i really can't blame him....
Man art is good.
Sort of peaceful, sort of chilling..... I think the kind of nerves it takes to be alright with that long dark uknown path right outside such a house.... can probably deal with whatever else she needs to deal with.
Ahhhhh that makes a lot of sense about the title- one of those phrases I see people handle localizing some interesting different ways. And also 'interesting' ways. I also appreciate the work showing the label of the sausage array, now it's clear she even went for some flavor variations.
Woah these translation notes are GREAT, thank you! I had no idea about the specific trees involved here at all. Delighted to check out the re-translations too. Thank you for your hard work!
I truly appreciate the office dignity teams work here.... she didn't stand a chance. He looked like a sad penguin. Or like a tiny bird all puffed up for the winter. And THEN all sweaty..... no chance. No chance at all. Go ikemen-kun! Go author-san!!!
Damn, this is a very charming chapter! Going from the goofy Scared Straight By Definitely Real Yakuza to like. Hey but seriously, you work and golf and your kid never sees you, took me pleasantly off guard. I think this particularly highlights the way this story uses food to bridge the gap...
Once again this manga brings us visions of a beautiful world where corporations are actually a lot better to work with (supportive of passion side job).
Absolutely masterful. A beautiful long con.... I especially love he swap of red and black for the mysterious cube.
What terrible curses linger in japan...
