To answer the question you didn't want answered, it's probably a meager traveler's soup made of boiled grains, jerky that's been rehydrated, salt, and maybe some wild vegetables if they're lucky. It's far from gourmet campfire cooking, but it'll be hot and filling enough for a tired body.

By this point we already know Japanese fantasy authors, especially of the isekai variety, have a fetish for "white" slavery and use any excuse they can to cram it into their stories. White in the sense that it's actually a good thing and not the enslavement, objectification, and dehumanization...
