I was under the impression that Jarul had his memory messed with (especially with the giant knife in his head and the senility), so it really being just because he wanted everybody to not seek revenge seems kinda weird... like did Loki really need to be blamed for that to work?

I'm interpreting this as something she wanted him to do because it would let him be better socially, rather than some evil plot. It's a fucked up way of making "friends" by having her be the target of all of them. I haven't read the stuff with the flashbacks, but maybe that's what happened to...

One thing to note is that everybody else got powers from Okarun's balls, and Vamola's suit runs on something similar Basically: he's got a power source already, he just needs to learn how to use it (or them in this case :P)

That's... the point? The story was always about having them move on with their lives, for 10 years him and Mai were stuck on her death, and rather than having them go back to where they started, they both make something new of their lives and move on.

Thanks for finishing this! It did have a hard fall off in chapter 15, and I really wish the author did pretty much anything else different, but the ending is good enough, I suppose.

But it was explicitly stated by her that she still remembered being Marika, and that it was more like she regained her memories as Takae. So it's less stealing her body, more reincarnation. Marika was always Takae, she just didn't remember.

One thing to think about is if Ol' Fish Face probably has her true personality trapped just like Remalia was, and when she inevitably gets brought to despair like Emi was, she might get her body back. That could be very interesting to see because presumably the real Heroine isn't a horrible person.
