Felt the same, I kinda wanted different relationships formed. Let Toudou and Rin be the official couple. Rin has been the only one for some time to the point I forgot the harem aspect of it was in the earlier parts of the story.

I like how the girls were basically faceless from her perspective, it made them seem heartless in a way. But then the boy made them understand her position and their faces got revealed. It’s a clever way to make us feel what she feels at that moment.

I know where this is going, the author put Nanao out of the running to be Asumi’s girlfriend, by having her to be okay with being fwb to make way for Mai. If she doesn’t have any slightest regret in the next few chapters then I’d be really disappointed.

For me his hesitance isn’t that annoying, dude just went out of prison and has social anxiety, what irks me is how the story seems to be leaning into yet another misunderstanding plot now, on top of the one he found in her journal. Obviously she’s not evil, she probably has a non-fiendish reason...

Hmm not sure if I like this direction, that typical “I don’t trust you” plot is kinda stale to me. I bet the optimistic and hopeful younger sister is gonna die and the cynical brother will learn the meaning of friendship or something, then at the end of the arc he’ll set off to find more people...

Shit got real at the end there, really brings home how traumatized he was. Definitely picking this up.

I’m glad the MC called himself out after lecturing the girl, seems like the author do put some thought into this, feels like Cafe Terrace for adults, interested to see how this goes.
