It took me a whole reread to realize that the new maid is the girl who tried to pay Algard to heal her mother. Her new role makes a lot more sense to me now.

So this is the other cupid in the art. She seemed to have some sort of hypnotic suggestion ability even before the landslide, so she may have already been a cupid and not died with Ena. What a nightmare, being stuck with someone so toxic even after death.
