Did she dismiss her feelings? If you are talking about the "she was wearing the face of a little sister" line then that was the incorrect translation. Correct one was "she had a face like that of the youngest sister (Kotono)". It was meant as a jab at Arata.

Actually the volume on the cover has flashbacks about the MC's past of when he worked as an Assistant Director for TV and that girl is a model he met back then.
