He's wearing the enemy uniform and attacked his captain. All things point to him being a traitor/spy to his nation. As for the enemy general, for all they know, the enemies are simply fighting amongst themselves for who knows what, power struggle probably. From the public point of view it makes...
I think that's the point, it was a childish play by Itsuki back during the tournament arc when Harold was supposed to be hiding his identity (& noble status) and then Itsuki gave him a fake name that made it so that everyone calls him Lord
It should also be available from bookstores that sell English books. I got mine off my local Kinokuniya bookstore~ Cheaper than Amazon even
Yeah, the novel author mentions Brave Hearts' inspired by Tales of Destiny 2
Which is why he's dual-wielding. The cursed sword is just a back-up.
For all we know the sword's what killed game-Harold after he used it to fight with the hero party twice.
Fun fact: the manga accidentally has Harold dual-wielding in chapter 1, which is a Kazuki/Harold thing. They corrected...

To show that his friends weren't sitting around doing nothing I guess
Also some reactions from the others, and most importantly,
In the novel, the time skip happened right after Harold is notified of his death sentence, the prison meeting with Justus and court room scenes were flashbacks many...
From the WN chapter release dates it doesn't seem likely as they're so close to each other. I think it's more of a plot twist/cliffhanger for the end of the Volume 2 (Volume 8 for the manga) to attract readers for the next book.. whether it worked or not is up for debate 🙈
Or maybe the author...
