Well the Mangaka was probably hired for his skills to draw monsters (...and Hentai). They should have replaced him as soon as the story shifts toward humanoids.
Yeah well, the problem with this series is that the story and the worldbuilding come from the side characters. White is mainly here for the comedy. Ironically, it's when White starts doing stuff that makes the story moves forward that she starts to lose the PoV as well.

I wonder how the manga will handle the final parts of the series, without the side PoV, it will be very bad (especially the war arc who's arguably the best book of the second part).
If I must admit I quite enjoyed the ending and the main character, the rest of the story felt really rushed with very few time allowed to expand the universe (I mean we barely know anything about how the magic works).
It's not a bad read, it's a good revenge plot as well. But it reminds me a bit...

The series basically have 3 arcs who build up to a certain moment. Mimori becoming the Flyking during the war and save the heroes marks the end of the first arc. We're only at the beginning of the second arc.
