Lol there were ways I thought this could be resolved, but the bear pretending to be dead was 100% not what I guessed. I do hope this does lead to the MC and bear getting closer. Him being deathly afraid is starting to get a little old. At least let him respect the bear's efforts.

Now the question is, will the bear hide when everyone enters? Unlikely since the neighbor almost saw it. That also reduces the chances of it being a total figment of his imagination. It might be seen as something else by other people though, like a smaller animal or a toy bear.
