It reveals something about me that I'm more hype about the storyline is including information on the first Sino-Japanese War (which I know an inordinate amount about) than all the objectively hype shit that's happening in this flashback

Hmm, having read the whole thing, I think I didn't actually like this. Bad pacing, character's worldviews flip-flopping too fast, chock full of weird fetishes, and an ending that didn't tie things together as much as I would have wished. Oh well, I gave it a shot. Thanks for translating.
