It's just weird whenever romances (and I'm not saying it's going to be like that for sure but who knows) have them meet when one is a child and the other is a full blown adult. I'm of the opinion that age gap romances are fine if they meet as adults.

i do appreciate how our ML isn't seething with jealousy because of Mei. yeah she's another unfortunate soul FL brought in but he's not pressed cause he knows that FL is a charitable soul. ofc the same possibly couldnt be said if Mei were a guy, but ive seen ML's jealous regardless of gender...
