While it borrows a lot of tropes from other fantasy manga, this gem goes all in on telling a story from the perspective of a near immortal and does so very masterfully.

I always laugh so hard when authors try to justify these stupid death games in fiction. It never makes sense and is unnecessary exposition that assumes the reader is too stupid to understand the situation.
