I think that's exactly what the kitsune want him to do? It would show that he's exactly like Abe no Seimei, so Haruaki needs to find another solution. One that doesn't involve exorcising yokai to get what he wants. No idea how he's going to manage that though.

Personally, I like that while she's growing, Connie remains Connie. I think it is important for the story for her to stay who she is. I can imagine, if she ever stained her own hands with blood outside imediate danger, she would be caught in a web of lies, unable to ever be honest and help...
