I allows thought of the divide between them to be more in terms of personality. I think they both were near equals in life. But now I think Dara-san has within her the "grudge" of her sister and her skills (plus her own skills plus the Yamagati Madara skills)
I love that Rei is able to look back now without being instantly consumed by the trauma of his family's death. Moving through memories and considering them like he's moving shogi pieces on the board. Now that's personal growth.
Not to be overdramatic but the Karis x Lily mini-arc has completely saved this series for me. Particularly now that Lily was able to share her story with Amon. I hope the author continues to tell these sort of more self-contained poignant stories because the knight commander/corrupt leader stuff...
