Glorious chapter as always. Loved the Chika-meeting-his-father moment. It went small instead of big - great choice. Echoes so much of his growth this series and the "it doesn't suit you" felt like a sweet little callback to the line about Chika himself (specifically, his love of strawberries)...
That was a lovely final chapter. The dream section really got me emotional as did the night sky in the last page reflecting the "talisman" they made so long ago.
And, maybe unsurprisingly, earlbay's (and lore_likes_cats) reflections also made me emotional! This was a sweet comic & I could feel...
Literally said out loud, "She can't keep getting away with this." How does every issue hit so hard? To make the entire climax wordless is brilliant. For me, part of the point of the comic is that music can communicate more than words can - love that her art is doing the same.
Thanks for the translation! I don't know Korean so I'm not a judge the quality, but I personally thought it read well and I felt some care had been taken with the localization. It's a shame the comic never finished translating - at least as far as I know - as she's really a breath of fresh air.
A lovely chapter. But I was waiting for Aoko to awkwardly sing "Unchained Melody" while hovering behind/above him on the pottery wheel. A real missed opportunity.
Miesa is the best - I could feel she was going to break her silence & it still made me laugh out loud. Loved the panel of her yelling at Gella to get herself together.
Well Aoko, better late than never. I still enjoy this comic quite a lot even if this isn't quite the drama I was hoping for. Every time I see the title card I get a nice little serotonin boost. And the translation is immaculate as ever!
Thanks for finishing the series! A bit disappointed that nobody ever learned she was a girl - I liked that she found a bit of comfort in her femininity towards the end. But it was still a cute little journey & a fitting end. Thanks again!
Thank you very much for the mass updates. I haven't found time to read the latest batch, but this manga has somehow stuck with me through the years - hope to see it fully translated one day. Thanks again!
Maybe it's just been a while, but this chapter had me giggling from start to finish. Highlights:
The Unchained Melody teaching sequence
The random guy in line who was also disappointed (p. 16)
"You shouldn't be making fun of your superiors." - they're just too fucking cute
"Dogs are barking"...
