I dont actually hate this ending. It honestly seems to fit the nature of this manga. Could've been a little long but I prefer mangas that dont overstay their welcome and become cash cows.

Komi never got a sequel. It ended at Chapter 499. What I think they're referring to is chapter 500 & 501 which is essentially small side stories about the komi cast (usually just Chadano, Komi, Kawai & a few other) going about their lives in University.
